Dual Controls are used in aiding driving instructors to safely teach new and learner drivers. Configurations include controls for both manual and automatic vehicles.
Manual Dual Controls consist of the accelerator, brake and clutch functions. The manual brake is narrower than the brake used on a automatic set up. The accelerators are identical and can be disconnected easily if required.

Superior Installation
The Nybro Dual Controls are the neatest and least invasive for any dual control installation. Smooth and precise operation are achieved by careful alignment of the actuating mechanisms. The other outstanding feature of the Nybro Dual Control system is the Ratio 1:1 operation of the dual control pedals to the vehicles original controls. This is very important for demonstration of vehicle operation to new and learner drivers.

Approved Person Network
As part of the Queensland Governments commitment to reducing red tape and regulation, the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) has conducted a review into the approval of modifications to vehicle controls used for driver training.
As a result of this review TMR has decided that these modifications will now be assessed and certified by the Approved Person Network. Nybro has the required type approvals and a TMR Approved Person on staff to complete, certify and register your dual controls in house.
Upon completion and checking of the dual control installation, we will attach a TMR Blue Plate to your vehicle, identifying the LC2 code for dual control systems for driver training and present to you the corresponding certificate, allowing you to use the vehicle immediately.

We are able to install our dual controls to all vehicles using our patent pending methods.
On Site Installation Service.
We are currently developing methods that will make available our technicians to go to your nominated site for installation of a dual control. This will cost only an additional $120 which is great value considering how hassle free it is for you and the time you can save.
This service will be limited at this stage to particular makes and models of vehicles.
The area will cover most of South East Queensland and some regional centers.
How it Works?
The Nybro Dual Controls use a new method of cable control to actuate the existing vehicle controls. Existing cable controls have had various issues and have not been popular in the past because mainly of the increased cost and expense.
We have worked hard to overcome issues of the past with our new system, that's why they are now the control of choice by the largest driving schools around. The era of the bar type controls are on the way out because of the potential leg hazards and restricted foot and leg room.
